Is there a proper 4 year high school for BOYS ONLY with a strong emphasis on Judaic AND secular studies? When I say strong I mean close to a 50/50 split. The only schools I have seen like this are mixed (boys and girls) MO schools. If you know of such a school that fits my description please tell me what type and where it is. I'm am only interested in schools in the US. We would seriously move to a community that could meet all of our schooling "demands."

I'm not sure about this, but look into Skokie Yeshiva. It's possible their program is similar to what you describe.

RTMA in Elizabeth, NJ
http://www.rtma.thejec.org

TABC in Teaneck, NJ
http://www.tabc.org

MTA in NYC
http://yuhsb.org

All different flavors of MO college-prep in the NY metro area. There are probably more, but these are the most popular in our area.

Skokie Yeshiva has night Seder so it's more Jewish studies then secular but the secular studies are considered very good. The boys that go their are right wing MO but the rebbeim are yeshivish. They have a dorm also. You can google fasman yeshiva high school for more info.

Yeshiva Ohavei Torah Of Riverdale might meet your needs. I don't know the mix of studies, but the boys are expected to go to college.

YULA in LA has a boys building and a girl's building. They are separate but they're MO, the boys and girls hang out after school but they aren't together. Practically separate schools.

MBY in LA? It has decent secular but it isn't 50/50. But there is no parallel girls school and they don't hang out with girls. Much more RW but they aim to be college prep...

What else do you want to know about these schools?ni don't have kids there (too young for HS) but I do know people who go or teach there....

YULA is MO. The girls school has students who don't always wear long enough skirts. They all (boys and girls schools) are aware of secular media, have smart phones etc.
They don't have the AGT (advanced Gemara track) anymore which was where the serious Torah learners were in the school.

MBY is black hat but as far as I know they try to be pre college. It's a yeshiva in that there are lots of Kodesh etc but I saw their class schedule and chemistry was on there which is way different than say yeshiva Gedola of Los Angeles.
Call the schools for more info because they would have the latest info on where their kids go after HS.

I am not familiar with these LA schools but all I can say is that a school listing chemistry as a course does not a college-prep school make. Is it a joke class or a serious one? Does the teacher have the proper background to teach it? How did the students who took chemistry there feel once they had to take college level chem?

All schools look amazing on paper. Talking to alumni and their parents is the best way to know how successful the school was in their college prep.

Scy High boys high school in San Diego. Small boys only local high school. Wonderful teachers and staff. Maybe this would be a good fit?
