The city mini is great in comparison to umbrella strollers because it's lightweight too but has a great fold, canopy, is much sturdier and less tippy and also pushes better.
Like umbrella strollers it has a cr@ppy basket.

I have the Citi Mini Zip. I compared it to a few basic Gracos, and I love the canopy size, the fact that it lays almost flat, it's very lightweight, very easy to open and close with just one hand, and folds up very compactly so I could shove it in the corner of the trunk, and it doesn't take up half my car.

I second the Britax B-agile. It is cheaper and doesn't have that annoying bar on the bottom for your feet to kick.

I have an expensive carriage then my cousin lent me her very old city mini bc I was saying how I needed another carriage for the babysitter, car ect.
Anyway I love it, I use it more than my 'real' carriage.
Its light, easy to fold, comfortable seat, great canopy, it's a dream carriage

Love my city mini GT it had such a easy smooth push,so light and very easy fold and adjustable handle .The only thing I don't like about it is the basket which is small and is starting to tear.

Beware the straps, though. My friend's baby was napping in the stroller (baby had fallen asleep while they were out walking) and she found the baby with the strap tight around her neck, strangling the baby. She had to cut something to get the baby out- it's got one long strap that loops through the back of the stroller- really unsafe.

Me too. You can get the britax travel system for 350 and the citi mini travel system for 550. Been very happy with my britax single and double and infant car seat.

We've used a few stroller, here's why we liked the city mini:
1) The fold - one handed, super easy
2) Lightweight for a full size stroller
3) Has a bassinet, regular stroller seat, and can get adapters for carseat
4) Big wheels make it easy to push and also much easier to bump up and down stairs
5) Big sunshade
6) One handlebar for one handed pushing
7) One foot break (so you don't have to lock wheels individually)
8) One handed recline (so if you are holding a sleeping baby, it's easy to adjust to put them in). But to put it upright again requires 2 hands, but that was less of a big deal.
We were very happy with it.

I've be been considering purchasing for long walks with my toddler, but when I tried out my friend's gt he was bothered that he couldn't sit upright enough, he was forced to slouch. Hers is from a few years ago, has anything changed on the gt model upright position?
