My children are 1 and 7. My older one is becoming very resentful and jealous of my baby who took his Mommy away from him. It used to be just the two of us for most of the time. I would read to him for 30 minutes at a time at least once a day. I would watch him outside all the time. He got to do whatever activity he wanted and nobody messed it up. This shabbos, for example, I was out for most of the day with my baby bec she likes me to walk her. Even when we all went to the park together I spent much more time with my toddler. Now my question is what can I do for him? I already have her out by a babysitter for am hour after he comes come but he usually plays with friends or on his bike at that time. Is it just his tough luck? How can I help him feel better?. And should I prioritize him a lot more? Also will it get easier as they get older or not necessarily.

Baby will be happy just hanging around. Yes, your older counts!

Definitely set up playdates for your older one. Give him important jobs to do. Your baby will also be fine when you give the older one attention as she gets used to it.
