I've pushed it off way too long, thinking that he'll grow out of it, but now I am trying to move out of my denial and figure out what to do.
My 8 yr old ds is very smart, into sports, very active... He also is extremely needy and difficult. He is ruining the atmosphere in our home. He constantly fights with his siblings, is always jealous if someone gets bigger/ better something and gets hysterical over it. He constantly has angry outbursts when things don't go is way. He hits his siblings and sometimes also his parents! He has zero patience and needs everything now or else.. I'm at my wit's end, I seriously feel like a failure.
My question is, where do I start? Child psychologist? I have no clue.
Please help direct me!
TIA!

Yes, a child psychologist could help identify if there's a diagnosis, like ADHD or ODD or the like. Even if there's nothing diagnosable, he or she can still help with strategies for improved relationships.

Child psychologist and neurologist - each one can diagnose different things, so you should do both.

Or a developmental pediatrician. Your regular pediatrician might have recommendations.
