I live in NYC.
We need to recycle plastics/metal/glass etc and also paper. There need to be 3 separate trash cans. Paper may not be mixed with the glad and metal etc.
I live in multi family house upstairs. I am finding it hard to figure out how to store my recycling. I used to have one trash can for regular and recycling bins (open front) for the recycling. Once the bins were full, I'd bag them and bring them down. One bin for paper and one for Plastic. The bins stacked.
Now that I have a toddler around - this is no longer an option.
I have no idea how to store everything without having garbage bins all over my kitchen.
Help?

Install a rack, like a coat rack with multiple hooks, on the wall. Hang big shopping bags or tote bags with handles, one or more for each type of recyclable, from the hooks. You can use bags of different sizes if you usually have significantly different volumes of different materials. Hang the rack high enough to be out of children's reach.
