Looking for a place in the Monsey/ Passaic/t
Teaneck area to get/rent/borrow gowns for a wedding. Looking specifically for a place that has "updated" gowns. Went to 2 Gemachs where the gowns had been altered or worn so many times that there were holes in them.
Any recommendations? Need women's AND girls gowns, and just don't have the time to try out every. single. place.

Try safier in far rockaway. I lost their number, but I'm sure someone has it. They have girls up to size 20 I believe. They have gorgeous updated gowns, and they get new ones each season.

The Passaic Gemach is closed for the summer. Did you try Augenbrauns.

I'm not aware of any gemachs for this in teaneck or fair lawn, but there is a tznius gown swap group on FB.

I think Augenbraun starts at $300 unless you buy from their sale rack.
There is a Fair Lawn gown gemach 201-797-1770 but gemachs in this area are not generally so updated.
I second the suggestion for Safier. They have a really nice selection, it was worth the shlep especially if you want matching for a few girls.

Augenbraun's is great. I've rented gowns on several occasions. Very nice people to work with, who will make you look and feel beautiful for your simcha.
The sale rack has some nice gowns, and the rentals are around $300 for a ladies gown.
