If people dont eat fish or spicy foods before a fast because theyll be thirsty during the fast, and you cant eat simple chicken in the 9 days, whats left for main dish?

I thought Ive read for years on many threads that people dont eat fish before a Taanis because theyll be thirsty on the Taanis, and here I see people making fish.

I used to believe that about fish but experience has taught me that it isn't true. It's actually helpful to have filling lean protein. Make a recipe with the right ingredients.

Pre: avocados are great before fast, avocado egg salad, bananas are also pretty good for you, watermelon grapes and pasta with cottage cheese for the main along with hard boiled eggs, great to keep this meal fulling yet light and simple.
post: warm bagels and butter, soup, baked fish and creamy garlic mashed potatoes.
