New olim want to know -- if you are leaving your home for a break somewhere else in Israel, where are you going? Don't need kid-friendly as just adults. All details gratefully received. Thanks and stay cool!

Depends what is the type of fun you like to have
I go usually up north stay overnight or 2 nights in a tzimmer/hotel then depends the year sometimes we do water hikes sometimes we just drive around see the view of ramat hagolan visit some wineries go to the beach. Some people do it cheaper and tent and then do cycling around kinerret swimming hiking etc.
Good luck!

Keep in mind that August = high season.

If you are going to travel, make your plans ASAP.

I live 2 blocks from the beach. I'm staying home in the air conditioning!

I like to go out for walks at night, when the air is cooler. The beach is quiet and peaceful, and the boardwalk is lovely. The cafes are all CRAMMED with tourists, so I don't eat out much in August.

I'm in Nahariya.

Many people go up North
I found that already before Pesach most tzimmers were booked

there are many tzimmer sites to browse if you want to
We booked a tzimmer a few min drive from tzfas so theres kosher food and a range of minyanim in the area

day trips can b fun too but gota be well planned especially the food and water supply!

Actually, I find this to be a non-issue. Unless you are going on a long, strenuous hike somewhere remote, you are unlikely to be without a source of food and water in Northern Israel in summer. Even if you can't find a sit-down restaurant, you can almost always find a snackbar or refreshment stand or small market with something to eat.

I know you asked for "in Israel" but I just have to point out that a week in a kosher hotel in Switzerland, including meals and airfare, is cheaper than a week in a tzimmer up North.
If you are adults, you might seriously want to consider getting out of the country.
Personally, I'm going to America Very Happy

Very Happy

Switzerland seems great.

Any specific recommendations?

Yup. Sadly that's why I don't foresee bringing my children to Israel, as we have the plane (thousands and thousands for a family) on top of that.

We love Crystal club in the French alps. Really cheap compared to Switzerland. Frum crowd, MO to shtreimel. People from all over, UK to Turkey to Israel.

Funny, every time I speak the truth about prices in Israel, I get a hug. Even on TBA. Cool! I much prefer my international holidays anyway.

Gastronomy food, Litvak and chassidish mashigichim, kid club until quite late, very nice http://www.crystalclub.fr/
