My entire family is going on vacation and I need to ask my boss permission to leave! I have a slight feeling he wont let me gooo... and im going to be sooo disappointed!! so I keep on pushing it off to ask him,, but I gotta get it done! any ideas how to broach it to him softly and nicely he shouldnt make any problems?? help quick!

explain to him that you are a valuable worker, and you need to get away a bit in order to refresh your self and be able to continue giving your job your all

I wanted to go over my allotted vacation days so I asked my boss a few months before and made it clear I did not expect to get paid since I used up my paid days already. That smoothed things over a lot.
