Does anyone do this and what kind of bags do you use that are safe to do it?
Meaning liquid potatoes etc go in main pot but then I am able to put rice beans chicken in separate serving bowls for those who only like certain ingredients or want only beans?

You can put in separate crock pot liner bags that are meant for long cooking.

Thank you.
I think I have done that before. Although I thought there was some writing on them. and in a normal situation I think that ink would be on outside of liner. however when I submerse in cholent the ink would be touching rest of inside of cholent. don't know if that would be a concern. also the liners are a little bit big for the purposes of making smaller bags of the other ingredients.
Let me know if any further thoughts.

We use Reynolds liners and I haven't seen any words on them. When I use bags to keep food separate I knot the bag and cut off any extra hanging part of the plastic.
