All of them are perennials.

I haven't had much luck with them; although, I have luck with most of the rest of my garden. I had 3 go into shock in 2 years from being transplanted. I tried full sun and part sun. I kept them hydrated in the beginning. I tried watering them weekly in their roots.

There are much easier plants to start with.

Tree peonies and regular peonies. Depending on your climate zone. Check at a local nursery (not a Lowes or Home Depot garden center) they can really advise you on what works in your area based on soil, sun and climate.

I'm doing other plants too, but I really want hydrangeas.
Can you give me ideas for other plants that work in our climate (tristate)?
