Are there any stores in Brooklyn area that will sell last year style for discounted price? I prefer to have someone measure and fit my kids for weekday shoes...but without the hefty price tag. Thanks!

Le Elegante usually has on 13th and 42nd. Also Daniel's Shoes (is that what it's called? 13th and 45th Street).
The other stores sell old stock mid summer and mid winter during off seasons. During high season old stock is in storage since they need the space and not usually available for sale.

Only time I've seen shoes there for around $50 (though not much less) is when they put their stock on sale mid season.

I was at Royal Shoe Store in Williamsburg today and got a pair of last year's shoes for $49. Yaaaaaay. I go when it's not yet busy, and they are very accommodating. Their fit and quality is good also. I highly recommend them.
