Someone told me that in New York, for a child to be homeschooled, there is a requirement that the parent have a college degree (in teaching, or in any field?).
Is that correct?
This parent does not have a degree, so she thinks that she is not legally allowed to home-school her child.
I thought that a parent can homeschool a child and either do the teaching themselves or hire other people, regardless of whether any of them have a college degree or not.
Can someone clarify?
