Rav Moshe Feinstein.

Rav Yaakov Kamentzky.

It's said that people think of Rav Yaakov, zt"l, when it comes to sweetness and Rav Moshe, zt"l, when it comes to Torah but the reverse is equally true.

As with any true gadol. We just might not know the stories.

There was a rav, Rabbi Yitzchok Nosson Kuperstock, zt"l. He was known in the Torah world for his brilliance and work on halacha and electricity. I just read some stories about him in R' Nachman Seltzer's Inside their Homes. But I will always remember, and imagine, a story I read about him in Hamodia years ago. It was actually part an article about the Chanukah tours that went to R' Yom Tov Glaser's menorah lighting. His neighbor, Rav Kuperstock, bought candies to throw down to the people coming, to make the experience that much sweeter, then thought it might not be safe. So, after shlepping bags up to his apartment, he brought them down to R' Glaser and asked him to distribute the candy.

ETA re my bolded: I see allthingsblue got there first.
Re the Klausenberger Rebbe, zt"l: read Rabbi Frand's essay, To Give is Divine, in Listen to Your Messages for some magnificent stories.

B'shaa tova!

Not sure if he is considered a godol (he hosted many gedolim in his home and was a tremendous baal chessed, machnis orach and was ever so strong in the Goldene medine..) but ever since I read "All for the Boss" I've been tremendously inspired by R' Yaakov Yosef Herman

My FIL grew up with the kahanamans in ponevetz and I am so upset we never thought to name one of our sons after him but I guess we weren't suppose to for some reason.
He was a very special person.
