I'd love to try any method but this seems extreme. how can you say hair doesn't get smelly/dirty? it's a part of your body and needs washing IMO. I can't see myself not washing DD hair. can you explain how water alone removes natural oils and sweat from hair?

I hear what you are saying and definitely recommend limiting products in curly hair.
I use matrix biology cleansing conditioner. It is soo much easier to use one product instead of two. I also don't wash curly hair more than once a week, and the rest of the time just use water. If necessary I will use a little conditioner in a water spray bottle in the meantime. I also use simply smooth keratin potion as a smoothing serum while hair is air drying.
I do think everyone's hair is different and what works for one person might not work for someone else!

I said there is a transition period of a week or two. Your hair is used to having chemicals that rip it a natural oils. Therefore your hair is used to making extra oil to compensate and you yourself are not used to the feeling of your hair without these chemicals. My hair gets better by the day now...
If ir truly interests you read some artocles. Do your own reseadch.. I do not claim to be an expert, I just wanted to tell more people about the idea so they could find out more info on their own....
