ISO large modern dining room set on-line

I live oot, basically have only box stores to rely on, so on line pics is the best before I venture out.
I'm moving from a 5 bedroom home that has a seperate dining room to a 2 bedroom apartment with a living room dining room combo.
In my old house I have a dining room set for 16 ppl, actually it's 2 tables put together.
It's not the correct scale for the room, but it works and doesn't look that awkward.

Because the new apartment is all one room, it just too big. Also I want something new.
I do invite a lot of people Friday night. Not all Friday nights, but I would say 3 out of 4/5. Most of the time it's 10-12 adults plus.

I'm looking for a table that sits 8 and extends to 12, but it needs to be very easy to extend and shrink on a weekly basis. Also I want a modern look.
I really wanted an extendable glass table, but the ones I'm finding are too small.
Also looking for chairs, slimmer chairs will help
