I dread the carpool the cleaning the same food the same mess and I have negative thought patterns. What's a phrase or food or prayer that keeps you going. I don't drink coffee or eat chocolate. Smile How do I stay on top without letting issues drag me down? And how do you feel a connection to Hashem, above it all? I feel like a victim. This is so sad because I am so blessed.

I totally relate. It's really not easy to stay focused and centered and I lose sight of my purpose in it all very often. I wait until kids are asleep so that I can relax without all the noise! I think what would make things better is if I can truly enjoy myself more taking care of them - not sure how to accomplish that though.

I am a sahm, and I struggle with negative thoughts while I am also incredibly blessed. What helps me in this area is books on CD about the power of positive thought, playing them constantly during the day.

Some quotes to focus on:

"What you focus on expands"

"When you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change."

"Thoughts become things."

"Instead of concentrating on what you Don't want, concentrate on what you Do want."

You are right, your thinking will be the key to your happiness in this journey.

lol I opened this thread with intent to say coffee!
Barring that, here are some other suggestions.
Exercise, whether a walk outside in nice weather, a video in my den, or heading out to the gym.
Grocery shopping online.
Listening to music while I do housework. And dancing to it Smile
Catching a 20-30 minute power nap
Sitting down and saying tehillim when the mood strikes (at the moment I am having a hard time davening but saying tehillim is easier for me).
Shopping online
Meeting up with a friend once in a while
Being mindful. Really focusing on what I'm doing.
Pilates/yoga done to relaxing music really gets me feeling awesome mentally and physically

Do you feel like this because you hate all the chores and everything else involved or because you feel like there's so much to do and not enough time to do it all?
