We moved this summer to a house with oil heat. I am new to this - what do I need to do before the winter besides fill up with oil? Any recommendations for reliable companies at a good price?

Have the boiler cleaned. Generally I lock in on price before during the summer but prices may be higher now so it might not pay.

I believe there's a buying group that gets good rates. You can pm me if you're interested and I'll get you the number.
ETA I see she's in the Lakewood Cheder phone book, in the yellow pages under Heating Oil. There are only 3 listings, so you could call each one & compare prices.
