I use any brisket recipe. The last one I made that was really good was the balsamic brisket from the first silver platter.

I cook the deckel to make a soup (like chicken soup but with deckel instead of chicken). Then I make a mushroom sauce and heat up the sliced deckel in the sauce. It's delicious!

If you like meat to be very soft and falling apart-
Paprika, onion powder, garlic powder, salt, pepper, and a little instant coffee on both sides.
Cover with tons of onions.
Drizzle balsamic vinegar on top (optional).
Wrap very tightly with foil.
Bake at 300 overnight.
I actually liked deckel better than brisket when I made it this way!
