Hmm. Maybe I'll try using a different brand of honey. I'd hate to 'waste' another recipe though.

I would check out the runniness of the honey before purchasing. Turn upside down a few times and see how slow/fast the honey runs down. Compare several brands.

I made this cake and while the taste is delicious it was dry. I think I used pans that were too big so the cake was shallow and thus too well done. What size loaf pans are supposed to be used?

I've been making exclusively this recipe for the last few years and we love it! Today, however , the eggs started scrambling from the hot coffee Sad . It's in the oven now. Hope it comes out good.

Made this today, while I can't eat it myself, the texture, smell, and color are perfect. And my kids say it's yummy! Thanks for sharing the recipe!

I just saw a recipe video featuring a honey cake very similar to this one (though I'm betting that this one is better) and at the end the chef sprinked 50g. of crumbled halvah over the batter in each pan, before baking.
I though that was a nice twist on tradition. Also,it sounds like a very yummy combo Smile
