Could this be done by hand without a mixer you think?

I don't think you can get it stiff enough by hand.

Can anyone give me some ideas for add-ins? I've done the bloomeos, which is really yummy. I saw the peanut butter idea, but DH doesn't like PB. I had a few ideas, but wasnt sure about each one-

- Swirling in chocolate syrup: Does it work well? Freeze normally?
- Mini chocolate chips: Do they sink?
- Coffee: anyone know measurements?
- Chopped nuts: maybe candied pecans? Do they sink or get soggy?

Any other ideas?? Thanks!

Mini chocolate chips work but they're even better if chop them even smaller in the food processor first so that they are really just tiny bits of chocolate.

More ideas for whoever looking:
1) Lotus spread
2) mint flavour and choc chips
3) melt paskez mint thins, add to ice cream

To take it up a level, pour the ice cream into a pre-bought graham-cracker pie base. cut into wedges and serve.
