We just moved to the area and I am used to paying $10/15 max for a cleaning lady per hour. Here they seem to price by the house and the quotes I have been getting are like $120-150.
This seems out of line? Does anyone charge "normally"? I would love to hire a cleaning lady for 2x a week for 4 hours or so, and more during peak times like yontiv, but it just seems out of range.
Any advice?

For that price yiu can consider bringing in a woman from Brooklyn as a live in
People do it all the time
Out of town cleaning help is absurd!

I dont want a live-in, I just want cleaning help once or twice a week for my house only. The cost just doesnt make sense. Do you think someone would come in from a neighboring town? And where

Not OP, but what's the hourly rate for Amazon's cleaning service, and how does the program work?
