I want to cook a brisket in the slow cooker and then flavor half with bbq sauce and the other half cranberry.
Can I cook the brisket plain in the slow cooker and then after I cut it reheat with either sauce? What liquid would I put in the slow cooker? and what rub should I use? Anyone done two flavors with the same brisket?

I've never done two flavors but the reheating in different sauce should work fine. I always add extra sauce when I reheat and find that that's when it really gets flavored.
I would use ingredients for the first cooking that go with both sauces - salt ,pepper, onions, orange juice, wine.
