If you make it Wednesday it should be good still for
Fri night. Keep it in the back of the fridge.

One GIANT latka! I used to do that, it's delicious, I used to get my DH to come and flip it, I had this phobia about pouring hot oil all over myself LOL

Since I like my potato kugel fresh, I will probably grate it by hand on Friday, and make it in a frying pan

I have a bunch of potato kugels that I made last night. I'll put them in the freezer and defrost as needed. I don't see a difference between fresh and frozen. They taste exactly the same to me.

bumping this up:
Anyone know what temperature the stove should be on? How long should it fry all together? Is it a regular potato kugel recipe? 3 potatoes?

I have the beans already soaked and in the freezer. And I will assemble it in the crockpot on YT before shabbos.

This is what I do. I just warm it up covered in the oven. It actually comes out really good. I always get compliments on my frozen potatoe kugels.

I have recently heard when warming up frozen potatoe kugel, put a foil container with water on lowest shelf in oven and results in fresh kugel..
