Does anyone have good suggestions on keeping nice paper projects dry in the Sukkah? (that does not involve a laminating machine)

We try to use a shlock but there is always 1 rainful that we miss to catch and all the nice paper decorations from school get ruined.

I'm looking for other people's ideas.

Thanks

This might be too close to laminating... But clear contact paper has saved some of my projects from over twenty years ago

Singleagain, plus. ..
With heavy plastic that you buy in the hardware store for tablecloth, cover the artwork. Lay the plastic down on ironing board, place noy sukkah upside down over the plastic, fold plastic over the decoration until it overlaps all around, and iron the plastic lightly. Just enough for the plastic to melt and stick to each other so no air (and water) should be able to enter.

Cut a piece of heavy plastic just a little bigger than the decoration, then cover the front with the plastic and the entire back with sticky plastic. This effectively waterproofs the entire thing and works well for us.

If it's small enough, we use the large-sized ziplock bags. Just in case, the opening goes towards the bottom and/ or folded over in back of the project.
