I've seen some ppl wearing them. I'm the last person to notice a trend so I was wondering if they are back in as I haven't seen them in a few years.

But dont even think of wearing a pleated skirt (with pleats that start at the waist) if youre over a size 8, because your hips will look bigger than Texas.

Agreed! I don't think it's a flattering style on anyone and can be super unflattering on some (including me).

Well, I think that Texas hips are darned adorable, I guess. Fat shaming, OTOH, is nasty.

Some plus sized hips in pleated skirts:

I don't think it has to do with the size, I think it has to do with the body shape. On my body shape they just aren't flattering. No matter the size.

I think they look nice in a sheer and light weight material and aren't any less flattering than straight skirts.

I agree. I wear a size 2 skirt but have big theighs so they look awful on me. It's not a good look for ppl who get wider as you descend from the hips

I'm tall and thin, but misporpotionately larger thighs. Think pear shaped.
Like, I wear a medium sized top, and my skirts are x-large.
I think I would look just fine in an accordion high waisted skirt.
The accordion pleats fall nicely over my big tush, and my waist gets accentuated.

Basically, it's about how you wear it.
Unless, I'm just clueless with style.
