I am friends with rebbeztin but she isn't my rebbeztin.
I would like to give her a small gift for shabbos just something to let her know that I value her friendship.
What do you think is appropriate?

Thanks

Jewelry is much too "romantic" and personal

I would suggest something that probably most ppl would not give-practical gifts! you know the everyday things for the kitchen, Tupperware plastic containers etc. Because she probably never gets these things I think she might enjoy them very much. Useful practical things are usually appreciated. The fancy crystal bowls and vases etc she probably already has a ton of.

Maybe it depends on the person, community. Where I am, jewelry is a fine gift. Not super fancy things, but cute and small pieces that aren't so expensive. My Rebitzen has mentioned a few of her pieces of jewelry that were given by a friend.

Not expensive under 10 dollars. She would be angry with me if I would spend more.
It's just to let her know I appreciate our friendship.

I agree with Bnai Brak. Anything practical, like a new set of kitchen or bath towels. A good kitchen knife (that may be a minhag, not to). Perhaps a set of benchers, or flat napkin holder, that holds many napkins etc.

A small box of dairy chocolates that is obviously just for her, something she can enjoy on her own with a cup of coffee.
