Does anyone make rice as a side dish for shabbos? If so, which rice do you make?

Make it very often. I use basmati rice, cook it in the Persian traditional way and I make it plain.

I make it if I am making chicken without another starch. There is juice or a sauce to go over it.
Plain steamed rice with a little salt and oil.

I do a few things:
Super quick and easy: 2 cups uncle bens, 4 cups water, mix it some soy sauce, olive oil and soup mix and cook for about an hour covered.
Persian rice.
egg fried rice
Some other types too. I often try new recipes. One with noodles mixed in, or a wild rice blend, or mushrooms.
