Ahavas Torah and Derech haTorah in Brooklyn

Considering these two schools for my son. Can anyone tell me about them? How are they comparable? How are they different? Any information would be very helpful.

I don't send to either school but a lot of people I know send.

Derech hatorah is a tzioni school and ahavas Torah isn't. The parent body is similar. I do know ppl who don't cover their hair that send to Derech hatorah. I know plenty who do. I can't think of anyone who sends to ahavas Torah that don't cover but that could be just who I know.

Thanks. Do you know what they're like in terms of academics, warmth, tuition?
So if its a similar parent body, I'm assuming boys from both schools have access to TV and its not a big deal.

Please update info regarding ahavas Torah. I am planning to send there. Is the bully taken seriously. How is lunch. Any gym time. Academics. Are teachers kind and organized. Thanx
