The second grade classmates' birthdays are beginning.
I want my kid to be a good friend but don't want to spend too much on these things.
Please share links/ideas.
OOC how much do you spend on kids' friends' birthdays?

Check out amazing savings first. Sometimes they have good hello kitty tote bags or princess umbrellas or the like.

I spend like $10. I go to the toy store and ask for a good gift in that price range. They usually give me something that just came out. A watch is a nice gift...

I like Amazing Savings but it's very hit or miss, and Amazon would be more helpful because I'm unlikely to get to the store before the next birthday party.

I like buying How to Draw books for kids on Amazon, which should cost $4 to $7.

around 5-10 except if it's on sale and then it might be a drop lower. I try to stock up when I see things on sale at amazon. I just stocked up on games and good quality many piece puzzles. I've also gotten lego to give out.
Crafts are probably the best because you don't have to worry that they have it already. With a game no matter how awesome once you already have it it's redundant. But I get what I can and hope for the best. My dd sometimes will have an opinion like don't give lego to Shprintzy because I don't think she likes it and then I have to scramble to find her something.

I keep a bunch of craft kits on hand so I don't have to scramble to buy before each birthday party. Walmart and Target usually have decent options in the $5-$10 range.
This is a good time of year to stock up if you can find sales.
