Hi, would appreciate recommendations for a mesivta with serious kodesh and chol with a centrist orthodox hashkafa
Can anyone tell me about these schools? Am I missing any from the list?
Yesodei Yeshurun
Ohavei Torah Riverdale
Heichal Hatorah
Breuers
Chofetz Chaim Queens
Mesivta Ateres Yaakov
TIA

Mesivta ateres yackov is in my area. It certainly fills a need and there are some serious boys there, but at this point I would not call it a yeshiva for serious boys.

Our son is in yesodei and happy with kodesh and chol, he us a bright boy who needed a challenge. Many YU yeshivish families send there, their chol teachers are better than many other places.

Usually when this topic comes up, the list I hear is Yesodei, Ohavei, Heichal, and Shaarei Torah (in Monsey, Shaar HaTorah in Queens is also a good balance, but I wouldn't it call it centrist Orthodox in the same sense as the others in the list).

I have either had sons or family members in five out of the six schools that you mentioned, would be happy to discuss any of them. Feel free to PM me.
