They claim murphy oil isnt good for the wood. There is something out there called "Bona", its supposed to be much better.

Bona. It’s a spray that you wipe off with a damp mop.

Does the floor actually get clean with Bona? I always feel like those spray mops don't clean the floor so well.

Murphy leaves a film on the floor and eventiually strips the shine.
I use a little vinegar in water. Sqeaky clean and won't damage the finish. I was sceptical to try it, but once I did I never went back.

Does it smell?
How much water do you use? Isn't water harmful to wood?

The smell disipates in minutes. I dip a rag into the vinegar water and wring it out so its not dripping water. You could wash by hand or throw it over a broom-sponja type stick or anything, and wash. For super streak free shiny floors you could then go over with a dry rag. If not, just let it air dry
