My 2yo DS is a solid guy with a round tummy. I've always bought my other kids Carters pajamas but I'm having trouble with them on him. The shirts are so small while the pants fit fine. If I go up a size the pants are too wide and too long. He likes 2-piece better so I'd rather stick to that.
Which brand pajamas has a roomier fit?

I was going to say I like carters but the shirts are definitely on the smaller side. (Even for my petite kids) would wearing any tee shirt (short or long sleeve) with pajama pants work? My 4 year old loves to wear a big camp tee shirt or similar with his pj pants

My older kids do that but I feel like for a 2 yo the shirt would ride up too much and he's not aware enough of how to pull it down and make himself comfortable. I like how pajama shirts are more of a snug fit - I just don't want it too snug

I'm having this with my son too! I end up always having to roll the pant legs up so he doesn't trip over them and STILL the shirts are too small on him. Haven't found a solution yet... I usually end up pairing a solid color t-shirt with the pants after the shirt gets way too small (by then the pants usually almost fit :-p).

I find that the Gap pj’s fit my chubby kids better than most brands. And I always buy at least 1-2 sizes up.
