Is it really worth it to do informational interviews? I've been looking for a job for awhile without success and I've done all the things I'm "supposed to" except this. I've always thought the idea sounded weird and not particularly helpful either. But I recently took a job search course at a local library and although there was a lot I knew already, they really did emphasize that informational interviews can help. And seeing as it's the one thing I haven't tried, perhaps it's time to try it. But I'm still really skeptical. Can they really help you land a job?

I've done a few. They set a good impression, help you network, and could lead to something. My husband got a job offer that way. He didn't take it but he could have.

It’s more about making the connection then the information you will learn

Two stories of job offers...sounds like it's really worth trying. Thank you!

Good luck. Act like it's a real interview and send a thank you after.
