Does anyone have any suggestions for a last minute vacation with DH for the long weekend? Would prefer not to fly. We live in northern NJ.

Boston.
Take as many walking tours as possible to see history and the neighborhoods. There's plenty of music, theater, and activities. Visit the many museums and libraries.
For ideas, look at the Boston Globe, especially some recent Sunday Magazine sections, or the Boston Dig.
Stay in Brookline or Brighton, or downtown. There are plenty of shuls in Brookline, Brighton, and Newton, but Chabad is very available (2 different Chabads downtown, and 4 in Brookline).
You will be traveling against traffic, as Boston's students will be traveling home for the long-weekend, and back on Sunday night.
Have fun!

How far do you want to go, and what do you like to do? You could go to a big city like Philly, Baltimore/DC, or Boston, or some place smaller and quaint like Newport or Ithaca, or a bit farther to Montreal.
