Anyone have any idea what sort of time expectation we are looking at? We've been waiting weeks and keep hearing that there is no update and applications are processed in the order they are received.
It's so stressful just waiting. If I wasn't working, we'd be eligible for foodstamps, and I would come out ahead of where I am now paying for childcare! I can't handle being 2 working parents and not being able to make it to the end of the month.

Hey. Did anything come out with CHS? I'm just about to apply (have to wait to have a baby so I can apply for 2 kids) I need to get on starting September but I won't be applying until mid May. How long did it end up taking?

They are very far behind in processing paperwork. I was up for recertification at the end of May. I handed in the paperwork in the begining of May so it would be in before the end of my approval period. It took them until mid July to finally have it entered into their system.

I'm going to be applying for the first time in May for September. It seems like a long enough time no? Also how strict are they with income?

I don't have a foodstamps card either. Does that mean it will take longer than 3 months?

I can't tell you I too do not have a foodstamps card - but honestly, I think it is just laziness on their part.

Do you know if everything is backdated from the time you applied? Meaning, will they pay from the time I apply?
