I want to buy slow-cooker.
It's basically for me and my husband for Shabbos chulent.
I do want to be able to use it in the future, and also for six adult guest.
What's the recommended size?
And how long does it usually last?
I'm talking about a $33 4 1/2 star on Amazon.

A 4 quart pot should be big enough for 8 people but not so big that it will dry out a smaller cholent just for the 2 of you. How much cholent do you usually serve per person?
Hamilton Beach makes great crockpots. Crockpot brand too. Make sure to get a manual dial one that's good for shabbos use. They can last 10 years.
