A few days ago something in my oven spilled on the bottom, creating a lot of smoke. Tonight, cleaned out the bottom somewhat but there was still a lot. put on self clean and the oven kept smoking, smoke alarm went off (had all the windows open, fan on), and then the grease ignited and there were flames on the oven floor. Turned it off immediately and after a few minutes it went out.
NOW WHAT?
How do I make shabbos? I need the oven!

Oy, that's so annoying! Wipe off as much as possible and then try the self clean again.
Or try skipping the self clean for now if you don't have time. But try to clean off as much as possible with a wet paper towel and some all-purpose cleaner.

Put on some paste made of baking soda and water. let it sit a bit. then try scrubbing with steel wool or abrasive sponge.
I think actually if you throw some baking soda over the spill it's supposed to prevent it from smoking, but please don't hold me responsible if I'm wrong!
