I'm looking for an American girl knock off where the hair won't get nasty. We have the target, OG doll, which is cute, but her hair is gross, (I've tried all the tricks to make it nice again, but it's not working, we got a curly hair one, so maybe the straight ones are better?). Does anyone know other brands that are good?
Madame Alexander? Ny doll collection? Others?
Thanks!

I've heard the ones from Toys4U are good, but don't have experience.
We have a Target one with straight hair and the hair is pretty decent, it just has to be brushed every so often. I could see curly hair on any doll being very difficult to maintain.

I ordered a Madame Alexander Dollie and Me doll last night from Kohls for about $17-18+tax with free shipping. Don't know the quality but I figured it's probably better quality, since it's a brand name, than the Target Our Generation doll which I purchased recently for $15, and will return.

I got some dolls from Pharmex in Lakewood a few years ago, and the hair is still (relatively) good. I don't remember the name - maybe someone else knows?
