I was asked to teach a quickbooks course to a few ladies and they asked me to teach the basics. I do bookeeping and am very familiar with quickbook. Curious to hear other imas thought on what must be covered if you were learning it?

If I would take a course, I would be interested in learning how to process payroll on it. (I am familiar with accounting concepts and certain aspects of QuickBooks.)

Although, that's not necessarily basics. Basics would probably be more like creating invoices, tracking payments, bank deposits, bank reconciliation.

I've worked with Quickbooks for years ( not currently)
I think you can break down your lessons:
A/P
Entering bills
Paying bills

A/R
Receiving payments
Entering invoices

Banking
Deposits
Online Banking in correspondence with Quickbooks
Bank Reconciliations
Credit Card Reconciliations

Reports
A/R and A/P reports
Custom Reports

Import and Export features

Profit and Loss ( that's something I never understood fully)

Payroll

And more... just can't think of anything off the top of my head

Quikcbooks themselves offer classes you can go online and look at their curriculum.
