Has anyone here skimmed, or has their child read, the new Yiddishe Kup book? If my son loved the first version of the book, will he enjoy the second just as much? Looking for reviews and feedback.

Thanks!

Yes, very similar. My kids love both. I like that there are a few more females in this one. Even adult women. (gasp!) Although still very male centric even though my girls enjoy the book as much as my sons.

Yes, the second one is just as brilliant and well-done as the first, and made DC very happy over Shabbos Chanuka. I did contemplate stapling the answers together, because one child is always tempted to check them before thinking about the picture for himself.

My 6 year old won it and sits with it all day. I didn't realize it might nit be age appropriate. I'm going to take a look into it right now.

Why wouldn't it be age appropriate?

I think you have the perfect age group!

I just looked in. It's not for my 6 year old. I think he needs another year or so.

I don't get it, why isn't it for your 6 year old, if your 6 year old sits with it for a long time; your 6 year old is obv. enjoying it.

The pictures are very intresting. I don't think he can figure out any answers though.

I'm waiting he should come home. I might be pleasantly surprised.

I think 6 is too young to figure out the answers, it's really for older kids.

So my son came home I sat down with the book with him. I see he knows every single answer!! So I asked him how do you know? Even for me it's hard to figure it out!

He turns to the back of the book and shows me there's an entire section with the answers. Smile

I think I love him.

We made a rule about turning to the back within the first month of owning it.
My three year old loves the haircut page in the first book and the Chumash party and popsicle pages in the second.
The playground page does bother me since it is a really unsafe place. But I guess that's why there are no mothers there?

Lol. I personally could care less if my kids check the answers. Whatever floats their boats. Tongue Out Honestly, I have no idea if they do or don't. Never asked.
