Fill the Jet Dry dispenser once a month. Be careful not to drip it onto the rest of the dishwasher or your hands as your filling it. I fill it during the first week of the month, that way I don't have to keep track of when I last filled it.
Don't wash pots or cutlery in the dishwasher if you don't like spots.
Enjoy it!!

I own a dishwasher for many years and never used jet dry. What does it do?

Jet Dry (or whatever brand you use) helps the dishes get cleaner, and dry quicker.

My recommendation for a dishwasher is to buy the best you can afford. A cheaper dishwasher is just not worth it, IMHO. I have a kitchen-aid, but I bought it a long time ago. Town Appliance in Lakewood is excellent with this kind of advice. (Not an advertisement for Town Appliance, I was just happy with them).
