I have alot of used clothing and other stuff that I'd like to sell.
Has anyone sold used things online or otherwise successfully?
Also, where's the best to sell used Jewish books.
I know I can donate it but I really need the money at this point in my life.
Thanx

For clothing you can try ebay. For jewish related stuff you might have more luck with a local Facebook or yahoo type group.
If you post what you have and where you're located people on here might be interested as well. For example, if you live near me and have good jewish children's books I might be interested.
For more generic items like furniture, baby equipment, etc you can also try Craigslist.

I live in Monsey and have tons of Jewish books.
I am interested in selling but I'm not gonna sell for a ridiculously low amount.someone once offered such a ridiculous amount that I just took it off the site I posted it on.
I bought most of it for full price.
But obviously I'd sell much lower than brand new.

For good used clothing in good condition, I have had good luck with Tradesy. They tweak your photo, help with pricing, process payment and send you packaging materials and postage after the item is sold. Returned items go to them and they resell them and you keep the money from original sale.

As a consumer who actually likes to buy things second hand (especially things like children's books and toys which are likely to get ruined) I can tell you that I wouldn't pay above 50%-70% off regular retail value. Once buying used people want to get items for much cheaper. To be sure the price you're asking is realistic look at posts on ebay and Craigslist in your area. Unfortunately I'm not in Monsey. Otherwise I would love to browse your stash of children's books. I'm always looking to expand my children's library and jewish books are so expensive and hard to buy second hand.

Maybe try a facebook group for the Jewish books. I'm part of one that's a sefarim buy/sell/swap group but they would accept posts that include other books in addition to sefarim, I think.
