Weather is certainly good...but is there actually an established Jewish community??? I’d think you need to go north to Palo Alto or south to San Jose if you wanted one.

But, if we’re being loose on that requirement, Redwood City is “climate best by government test” Smile

I had a magical childhood in Minnesota. 4 feet of snow to play with in the winter. Delicious!

Am I only the only one that loves seasons and not just sun?

Colorado! You get the full gamut, but in mild form there.

Winter you can be outside, surrounded by snow, but in a T-shirt.

My mother was like this. That's why she moved from L.A. to N.Y. Smile

I also loves seasons! I am from NJ, but it's just a little too hot and humid in the summer and a little too cold in winter. Autumn and spring are AMAZING!! I'd love a winter with some snow but not below freezing most of the time, and a summer that had a more intermediate level of humidity and more like in the 80s tops than in the 90s and up.

I now live in Israel and it's like the land of perpetual summer here with some cold and rain sprinkled throughout the winter months, and I really miss the seasons.

And now the million dollar question: what's the cost of living like on San Diego? Similar to LA? Do they still bus to LA for schooling?

I find the weather in San Jose and Sunnyvale to get too hot. The orthodox communities in Oakland and Berkeley have cooler weather, which is great if you enjoy cooler but still temperate weather. Northern California has more "seasons" than So Cal, but the winters are still really easy - no cyclone bombs. And if you want to see snow in the winter you just have to drive 2.5 hours to Tahoe.

I would go somewhere fresh. NOT Cali, or Florida.
