I'm literally avoiding showers lately.
I hate using a blow dryer at night. I'm always afraid that I'll wake my kids.
But my house is cold lately, and I can't leave it wet.
How can I dry my hair the quickest possible without using a blow dryer?

Are you awake for a while after showering? You can wrap your hair in a towel and leave it a while. It will still be damp though...

I usually go a half an hour before I fall asleep,
Just thinking of coming out of shower with wet here makes me brrrrrrrrr.
My house could be very cold at night.
I would love it dry as soon as possible.

If you close the door to the bathroom and close the door to your kids room they shouldn't hear anything. It's not much louder than the shower.

Have you actually tried and woken up your kids or are you just afraid to? It's really a white noise that won't bother them. I just go to sleep with my hair wet, but because it's freezing, I wear a hat to bed - a comfy beret.

I don't have an outlet in my bathroom.
I have a tiny house, and my vanity is open.
My kids are light sleepers.
While you're still probably right that it's not gonna wake them, I'm still frightened and I'm still avoiding showers... Rolling Eyes
It's not very logical, but that's the way I am....

I can't afford to wake up kids, after finally getting my one and only break.

Even though it doesn't solve my issue completely, I'm still going to use your solution a lot I'm sure.

Thanks

Is it big enough for long full hair?

You CAN shower without washing your hair, until you come up with a solution that works for you. I recommend the towel turban too, because it keeps your head warm while you wear it.

I know it's just my fear.
I tried it several times and they didn't wake up.

Now that I'm thinking, I'm frightened of the noise too... Confused I might have sensory issues...

What about something like this https://www.amazon.com/Remingt.....iron?

I used to use it before I was married. If your hair isn't too thick or curly, it shouldn't take too long.

OK, I'll buy one, as soon as I know what is the right size for me.

I also used it before I got married,
I do remember it taking quite long on very wet hair. And also I had to clip my hair professionally, which I have no time for.

But what about an electronic Heat brush?
I can use a towel and then brush it with electronic brush.
Can it work?
I never had one.

I did that once. Using a plastic roll bag, just like the ones in the grocery.

I didn't mean it as it sounds, I'm not avoiding showers totally. I'm going at least twice a week. But I want to enjoy my shower and I want to go every day.

Does anybody have experience with an electronic hair brush?

This may sound very basic, but make sure to squeeze as much water out as possible before you leave the shower. I find that really cuts the time to dry down.

I also dread showering because I don't like the cold wet hair feeling afterwards. I have started not washing my hair every shower.
