I learned to be a barber-stylist and took a sheitel course on top.
I do sewing and mending
I need to finish my homework for interior design. And find customers.

I actually am a SAHM for six kids. Two home all day.
I'd love to build a career in interior design, but don't know how to get clients and really dislike marketing/advertising.
Advise or suggestions?

You really have your hands full but I still believe you can start building your interior deign business very slowly.

It seems like you know how to swim you just need someone to literally push you into the ocean.

I think all of us introverts hate to market ourselves but there really is no way around that. It's a muscle we have to stretch. A business needs marketing. Good luck!

Offer to do someone's house for free with the right to take and publish pictures. People will come and admire the home that you designed and want to book you for themselves.

Some design students volunteer for organizations such as Habitat for Humanity or similar organizations that sets up homes for formerly homeless people and they get experience and exposure that way.

My DIL has a sister who is not exactly an extrovert, but she is an excellent writer and has published numerous articles in frum magazines. Some people do better with the written word than with the spoken word and some can manage both.

Oh, got it LOL Actually haven't eaten a banana in a while because the window in which I like them (very spotted but not mushy) can be as short as half a day, and I feel dumb buying one banana at a time.

The person would have to pay the contractor for the actual work but she would donate her time into putting together the design on the "practice house". But she probably doesn't have to look far for friends who are looking to redecorate or remodel.

Ha ha. I also didn't get the spotted banana joke at first.
Who is bothered if you want to buy one banana at a time?

A I don't put bananas on my fruit platters and
B I'm in England so sorry no where near you. Wink

Genetic counselor

May I ask where you went to school?

I am a PA in Women’s Health. I am actually considering going back for genetic counseling when my kids are older (much!). I have been doing all the BRCA testing for my practice for some time now and have really developed quite a passion for it. As I live out of town, my options are limited but I know that one of the local colleges is working on piloting a program. Maybe one day...

Licensed OT moving toward alternative health, while staying up to date with current mainstream health. This means double the training and double the investigation.
My specialty is women's health (including pelvic floor and emotions stuck in the body).

Another writer chiming in here! We should ttly make our own thread and talk shop.

Btw, not all writers are working for publications so you likely haven't heard of all of us, even if we'd reveal our names....
