I work for someone who is an LCSW and licensed to practice in NJ. She has some clients who would like to see her in NY. Can anyone tell me how she could go about getting licensed to see clients in NY? Any experience would be helpful.

She should google the website of the board that licenses social workers in NY state. They should have info on licensure in NY

In order to practice in NY, or treat a client located in NY at the time treatment is provided, the clinician must be licensed in NY.
