I've always wanted to be a personal trainer and finally feel that I'm up to the point that I can assist others in their fitness goals. I've been looking into these two programs specifically and I know that ACSM is considered to be the better certification. However, it seems to be a lot more harder and expensive than ACE, especially if I would participate in their webinars which I would like to. ACE seems a bit more organized and they offer free support with their study program. Is ACSM really that much better...I would like to start off in a gym like Lucille Roberts once I complete my certification, does ACSM really give someone that extra edge when hiring? Any advice from someone who is has experience with this would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

You could ask the staff at LR what they think.
