I have a gown for my siblings wedding and my bra outline can be seen through the back of the dress.
What can I wear to hide it?
Can’t afford to spend much though

Go to a professional bra store who has a fitter. Bring the gown, tell them your budget, and have them measure you properly. There's got to be some way to find you the right undergarment.

Would you wear a crop shell or a sleeveless undershirt over your bra?

Get an all in one. The lingerie store should have something that will work.

What about not wearing a bra at all and having a cup sewn into the dress?

I honestly feel bad for these people that don't have a back mirror so they could see how the back looks like. I don't want to see your undergarments niether would I want you to see mine.

Can you sew a lining inside the back of your dress with a stiff fabric like the ones used in facing?

Check out Spanx Brallelujah! bras. I bought it because it was the only bra I could find that didn’t give back bulge, but it should work for being seamless and not showing through.

I have this bathing suit type of thing that smoothed everything out bra included that I use for evening wear. I got it in my local lingerie store. It worked amazing for gowns, pretty comfortable, since it was made from mesh like material. It also had some control to slim down a bit.
