What is the average cost of dishes flatware pots pans and appliances, the necessities besides food, for someone making Pesach the first time?

Im looking for functional and decent quality, not the best but definitely not junk.

What your estimation of what the total should be?

I bought only bare basics the first year and then shopped up the next Black Friday for the rest. Is that a possibility?

How many people are you cooking for?

Are you looking for fancy and expensive or budget friendly yet nice?

Nice size family and I might have some guests.

I wouldnt buy less than a service for 12 dinnerware or flatware.

And medium quality/medium budget for everything I buy, not expensive not cheap.

I'll tell you what worked for me.

Over the years I bought several tfal sets of pots and pans, and some additional pots. Once a year usage keeps them like new and nothing peels or chips. I want to be able to wash them easily on yom tov without having to scrub.

I also bought a few separate cheap stainless steel pots to use with items that wouldn't burn, like plain water for coffee, maybe fish, eggs.
-----

For milchigs: one frying pan that I use for eggs on chol hamoed.

2-3 large fleishig pots. At this point I use 6-8 quart pots. You can make chicken soup in one and still have 2 pots to keep or reheat your food for day meat. I can reheat two mains simultaneously, or two mains in one pot one after the other, while the second pot is used for a large batch fleishig potato side.

I also get a few really large tinfoil trays so I can make one meat+ potatoes together in the oven. I gen split it into two to put in the fridge and heat up separately.

A fish pot to fit the amount of fish you cook for your crowd. I use a separate pot because to me it smells smells like fish no matter how well I wash it, so no point to try to use it with other dishes.

If you hold like that- a separate egg pot.

I keep a large 8-12 qt pot of hot water on shabbos for tea and coffee. After one year when my water urn handles broke off and the urn went spilling boiling water all over (thank god kids weren't around, and adults didn't get hurt either) we don't keep urns.

A number of parve pots in diff sizes, for vegetable sides, plain potatoes, sweet desserts like ices, custards, mousses.

Mixing bowls : 1 milchig, 1-2 fleishig, several parve for peeling, salads, mixing etc.

Glasses (if you care) for wine and drinks.

Enough kosos and saucers for everyone.

Small dishes for keara, salt water, salt.

Dishes I bought several sets of plain white corelle (dinner plate, larger salad plate, decent size soup bowl and tea mug) and additional corelle dessert bowls and saucers. You could get a nicer one, it's just that I didn't like any patterns, and their white on white I use for year round.

Flatware I still need to get more of.

My cheshbon for flatware and dishes: see if you're ok with washing dishes in cold water on shabbos, like this year. Or get extra to last for night and day. Or give kids some nice "silver" plastic cutlery and save your real one for adults for night and day.
I serve only "Seder foods", fish course and soup at seder, so not all cutlery gets used. Otherwise, I hate washing dishes in cold water, and am busy with other things too.

If you have cleaning help that can come do your dishes that's another story.

My phone battery is about to die, I'll post later re. Utensils and electric stuff.
